Yes.
Environment is:
Solaris 8 master/media server with two libraries.
First is Storagetek 9740, 8 DTL7000 drives, used for normal backups.
Second is an old Qualstar AIT library with two drives, 20 slots that I
dedicated to the ndmp backup.
Both are scsi connected to the Solaris server.

Network Appliance F820 filer.
You have to enable ndmp on the filer. At this point it won't directly
see any tape drive.
On the sun server, in /usr/openv/volmgr/bin the set_ndmp_attr command
is what you mostly use to set up the ndmp authentication and backup
process. There's no man page for it, but it is in the ndmp manual.

Configuring the drives went through tpconfig, not through the gui. The
ait drives for me are /dev/rmt/8cbn and 9cbn. In tpconfig they were
added as /ndmp//dev/rmt/8cbn, etc.

It did take a while to get it to work, but following the ndmp docs
eventually worked. Send specific questions if you want to.

Does anyone has experience with REMOTE NDMP option that was introduced
in NBU 4.5?
