If you're going to just restore from an identified single image, you can use
several tools to identify which tapes that image lives on.
bpduplicate will take a backupid as a parameter & has flags to "fake" the
duplication. Check out the "-pb", "-PM", & "-PD" flags with the "-backupid"
options on bpduplicate.
bpimagelist will also display media as part of the "FRAG" entries:
bpimagelist -backupid <bpid> | awk '$1=="FRAG" {print $9}' | sort -u
-M

Subject: [Veritas-bu] find out about tapes
I run Netbackup 3.2ga on solaris
I have used bpverify -p -sl <schedulename> -hoursago 24 | awk '/^Media/
{print $4}'`
to work out which tapes were used for a schedule so many hours ago but i
need to know how to identify tapes needed for a restore for something which
happened a few weeks ago
i have found the image in the xbp gui for the client but can anyone help me
with command line to find which tapes i will need?? please
Dave
