Here is a procedure I have, but have never done myself (assuming unix
master/media servers):

- First you kill all the daemons on both media and master servers
- Then you go to /usr/openv/netbackup/db/jobs and rm jobid
- Then bring the daemons backup and the jobids will start over

If anyone else has done this, can they verify the procedure?

We have been running Netbackup for some years now and the jobid number is
now bordering into the 000,000 number range. Theoretically as the jobID
grows each day you could end up with quite a large number. Is there any way
you can reset this number back to 1?

Thank You
David
