[Veritas-bu] Linux Clients
2003-01-17 13:46:19
David:
I have a number of Linux clients that need to be backed up and that we
can't/won't put the Netbackup client software on.
To solve the problem we Rsync the data via ssh to the Solaris master. Then we
can put the data to tape when a window opens.
Rsync is very fast as an added bonus.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Linux Clients
One of my clients is getting ready to install a linux client solution and have
just been informed that there is a 2GB file size limit with the NBU Linux
Client Software.
Have any of you run into this, and if so, have you figured out a work-around?
Is it based on a particular filesystem that you use with Linux?
They will be using XFS and EXT3.
Thanks
David
