My backups are failing with a status of 98. Doing database backups from
multiple hosts. Each database backups uses 4 streams. Whenever more than 1
database backup runs at one time, one of them will error out with a 98. Our
Library has 16 DLT8000 drives.
Our master server has 8 Gig of ram. The /etc/system params are as follows:
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=4294967295
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmin=1
set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=200
set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=200
set semsys:seminfo_semmns=30000
set semsys:seminfo_semmni=3000
set semsys:seminfo_semmsl=8000
set semsys:seminfo_semopm=100
set semsys:seminfo_semvmx=32767
NUM_DATA_BUFFERS=8
SIZE_DATA_BUFFERS=32768
We have 2 small oracle instances running as recovery catalogs on our master
server but they take little resources.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Joel Keating
