every version of netbackup comes with a "Getting Started Guide"
that explains everything in detail. go read it.
it is available online at http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/246738.htm
download MP2 from the support-downloads at
http://support.veritas.com/
and install it. it fixes a lot of problems.
almost everything is explained in the netbackup
documentation in great detail.
it is a lot to read, but it is very good.
then get the "Netbackup System Administrators Guide" and
the "Media Manager System Administrators Guide".
if you are new to linux, it is probably a good idea
to get someone who knows linux to help you
setting up a (working) backup infrastructure
is a pretty complex task and not really for
a beginner.
and please, please, before you ask on this list again, consult
the netbackup documentation first, and see, if your question
is answered there...this saves you time and other peoples nerves...
