[Veritas-bu] bpduplicate question

Sure is possible.
although you do understand the implications should you decide to do this,
right?
IF you dupe to the same pool as your original backups reside, then there is
a very good chance that you will be duplicating images to original backup
tapes. It doesn't follow best practices for disaster recovery or facilitate
offsite storage at that point.
On the other hand, if you had different density tapes within the same pool.
Example
Volume Pool: Main
Density Type: HCART - STK 9840 Drives
Density Type: HCART2- STK 9940 Drives
You could configure you Backup Policies to use a Storage Unit of type HCART
for all the backup and have Duplication use a Storage Unit of type HCART2
for all the duplicating the images while maintaining all of these tapes in
the SAME volume pool.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] bpduplicate question
Hi,
Normally with the command bpduplicate the destination pool should be a
other that the original tape.
But I'll like to make the copy in the same Pool (destination pool =
source pool) by specifying the tape (Label).
Is this solution possible?
Regards,
jm
