If /backup is a link to all these other areas, then /backup will be
backed up as a link and nothing else. NB does not traverse links.

Are the filesystems unique to each server? In other words can you do
this=20

Server 1=20
  /A=20
  /B=20

Server 2=20
  /C=20
  /D=20

Server 3=20
  /B=20
  /C=20

This way you can specify in your filelist:=20
  /A=20
  /B=20
  /C=20
  /D=20

and those systems that don't have a /C for example won't have a problem.
You list to backup can be a union of your individual backup lists.

You can also use an exclude file per client to leave certain unwanted
paths out. =20

For all my servers, I backup "/" with "cross-mountpoints" enabled and
then I exclude files and directories I want ignored on a per client
basis. It's nice because changes within the enterprise (like new
filesystems) don't force me to reconfig NB.

Hi,=20
I have serveral hosts and each has a different set of directories need
to be=20
backup.=20
Is there a way to group them under a single policy in NB4.5 DataCenter
running=20
Solaris 8?=20

I would like to just create /backup with all links on each client and
veritas=20
just backup /backup. Is this possible?=20

How would you solve this?=20

Thanks=20
