We have a DBA that wants to script a command line way to back up 7-8 important
files a couple of times a day. She wants to do this as a part of a script that
does other things as well. Does anyone have any ideas of the best way to do
this?

Is there a way to have a local file list on the client that the client
initiated backup will reference and read through, or is there a way to trigger
from the client a class on the master server with the file list in there? BTW,
both the master server and client in question are unix clients.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I looked through the admin guides and
couldn't find anything relative...
