RE: [Veritas-bu] Relocating data on volumes.Mike,

You were correct, I assume since we were dealing with such a huge chunk of
data with 10 million inodes that yes indeed it was busy proccessing. about
15 minutes after I sent the email (and during my dinner break) it kicked in
and the restore went active. I'm curious why it stay's in "queued mode" and
not "active"? If the job would have went active I wouldn't have worried,
but the fact that it stayed in queued made me think there was an issue. :(

Weird... oh and thanks!

I think netbackup is taking its time figuring out which files to restore
from where - it'll probably take it pretty long time (measured in hours..)

Once it knows which files are on which tapes it will load them. It's
tempting to cancel the job, but that will just add to the wait (it did for
me anyway)

Good luck, I was just in a similar situation.

  Mike

    Hi All-

I'm trying an indexed restore (350 gigs / 10 million inodes) and the
restore just stays in queued mode (going on about an hour now). The thing
that I do notice is that the master server is under have load with 2
processes bpdbm running full bore (load average 2.50 on solaris box). Has
anyone ever ran into this issue with NDMP restores staying in queued mode?
So far veritas has not placed a tape in the drive... just started the
restore in queued mode and has been heavily processing the bpdbm. :(
