Okay, 

I've done this before, but never seen vault with this kind of behaviour before.

When I try to configure vault (after installing all the necessary software and 
keys), it just hangs on getting Volume Group information.  

When I look at the java log in /usr/openv/java/logs/

I see that there is an ArrayOutOfBoundsException error.

Any ideas?

Oh and I did patch it with the latest I found on the support website.

This is on Solaris 8.
