David

You are correct, It is not a good idea. That is what departmental servers
or NAS storage are for.
Users should keep theirimportant data on the servers which are backed up
daily, not on their workstations.
It is unserstood in our envorinment that you keep anything on your local
hard drive
at your own risk. In addition to that it becomes an administrative
nighmare
if you have a large organization with 3000 or so users. It is just too
espensive and not
feasable. Hope this helps.

I have a general question. How many people have to backup everyone's
machine
in the entire company Servers, laptops, and Desktops. Can you tell what to
watch out for or why this is not a good idea.

Thx

David
