Hi,

I have a Sun E450 running Solaris 8, with 2 JNI FCI-1063 HBA's dual
attached to 2 FC switches, connected to 1 Brocade 3800 which is where
my HP Ultrium LTO 2/20 is connected.

The LTO appears to Solaris as target 3. Lun 0 is the robotics, Lun 1
is the first tape drive, and Lun 2 is the second.

Nov 13 12:03:13 /pci@4,4000/fibre-channel@4/st@3,1 (st102):
Nov 13 12:03:13 <HP Ultrium>
Nov 13 12:03:13 st102 at fca-pci0: target 3 lun 1
Nov 13 12:03:13 st102 is /pci@4,4000/fibre-channel@4/st@3,1
Nov 13 12:03:13 fca-pci0: Target 3 Lun 2: Port 011000
(00000E00201F9B9:100000E00221F9B9) present.
Nov 13 12:03:13 /pci@4,4000/fibre-channel@4/st@3,2 (st103):
Nov 13 12:03:13 <HP Ultrium>
Nov 13 12:03:13 st103 at fca-pci0: target 3 lun 2
Nov 13 12:03:13 st103 is /pci@4,4000/fibre-channel@4/st@3,2

And using the HP Omniback sst driver, I found the changer:

Nov 13 13:55:15 sst0: found Changer device at tgt3, lun0
Nov 13 13:55:15 sst0: Vendor/Product ID = HP C7200
Nov 13 13:55:15 sst0 at fca-pci0: target 3 lun 0
Nov 13 13:55:15 sst0 is /pci@4,4000/fibre-channel@4/sst@3,0

sgscan cannont find my second tape drive. It appears to have selected
the wrong HBA path to the device.

../../devices/pci@6,4000/fibre-channel@2/sg@3,1:raw

See how it's chosen /pci@6,4000/fibre-channel@2 instead of what /dev/rmt/1
is.

There is only 1 path zoned in on my FC switches.

I would have thought sg.install would have setup:

hostname# ll /devices/pci@4,4000/fibre-channel@4/sg@3,2:raw
/devices/pci@4,4000/fibre-channel@4/sg@3,2:raw: No such file or directory

But it did not.

I have tried making more luns, with the sg.build script, but sg.install
still places the entry in the wrong /devices directory.

I am at a loss of what to try. I haven't tried making the device nodes
yet, but I'm getting there.

We have a Windows 2000 Cluster setup on the same Brocade 3800 switch,
which can see both tape drives and the robotics without any problems.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thankx,

Greg.
