Have you tried adding the CLIENT_NAME parameter for BOTH clients to the
bp.conf
file on the client you are restoring to? Remember to run the alternalte
client restore
from the client you are restoring to.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] alternate client restore - solaris
For the sake of having had to troubleshoot the last few hours I have
touched /usr/openv/netbackup/db/altnames/No.Restrictions. I am
getting Error: 25 cannot connect on socket. In bpbrm on the SOURCE
(where the backup had originated) I'm getting
23:58:14 [25083] <2> bpbrm brm_sigcld: SIGCLD caught by bpbrm
23:58:14 [25083] <2> bpbrm brm_sigcld: bpbrm child 25091 exit_status = 59,
signal_status = 0
23:58:14 [25083] <2> bpbrm brm_sigcld: child 25091 exited with status 59:
access to the client was not allowed
23:58:14 [25083] <2> bpbrm send_status_to_parent: bpbrm child is done, but
the media manager child is not.
Any clues?
