AVR is appropriate for a stand-alone DLT. It means that if you insert a
tape, the label will be read automatically - usually a good thing. I think
that "vmoprcmd -upopr 1" will get the drive to OPR mode if that's what you
want.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] DLT Drive Config
All,
I'm having a problem configuring a DLT drive.
I want to add it as an standalone drive.
It's a DLT7000.
Every time I add it, it's shown as AVR
DRIVE STATUS
Drv Type Control User Label RVSN EVSN Ready Wr.Enbl. ReqId
0 4mm OPR Yes WED-B Yes Yes -
1 dlt AVR - No - -
Any ideas ?
I know there are options to configure the drive (DLT, DLT2 and DLT3).
I have tried all of them, however, is there any special I should use ?
Thanks a lot !
Carlos
