The short answer: Whatever you want them to be.

The longer answer: Veritas uses the 'density' selector to specify types of
tape for the administrator. In and of itself, Veritas has no knowledge of
how big any tape is. Only that "tapes of type HCART should be used in drive
0, 1, and 2. Tapes of type HCART2 should be used in drive 3 and 4." This
means, in a mixed environment, HCART could be 9840, while HCART2 could be
LTO. Or vice-versa. However the administrator decides to set it up.
