Correct, to backup a SAP database running on SQL (or DB/2) you just use the
NBU DB agent for that database. the NBU for SAP agent uses Backint which is
only available for Oracle (and SAPDB) as far as I know.

I have done quite a bit of research into this one and found that Veritas
does not have a SAP extension for SQL. Only for Oracle databases.

Hello all!
Can anybody provide me the following information (i am using Netbackup
4.5 Datacenter on Windows 2000):
Is it possible to use the SAP extention if SAP is using SQL instead of
Oracle as a database? If yes, do we only need the SAP extention or do we
also need the SQL extention? Is there documentation about this subject?
Anybody has experience installing the SAP extention on W2K and SQL and
want to share information etc?
Thank in advance!!
Rolf
