When I added the tape using vmadd, I mistook the -m to mean the master when
it should have been the media_id so I had a tape the same name as my server!
I mistook the -m with the -M.  I deleted that tape, re-added with proper
name and the tape shows up ok now.  A big thank you for everyone who helped
me out.

This sounds like the volDB host may be incorrectly set on the media server
you 
are querying this from...maybe.


do a tpconfig -d from /usr/open/volmgr/bin on all of  your media servers and

make sure tha volDB Host is consistent across the board.
