You can use "vmchange" to move the tape into a particular pool.

vmchange -p <poolnum> -m <tapenum>

You can get the pool numbers from "vmpool -listall"

-M

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Adding a tape to a pool

Folks,

I have just labeled a new tape with the bplabel utility.

bplabel -ev A00004 -d 8mm -p netbackup -n ECRIXVXA-10

What utility would I now use to add the tape to my backup pool? Also, at
what point should I be able to see the new tape using the available_media
script?

Don't have access to GUI!

Roger Patrick.
