I've attached two of the target files from our setup on one server. The
corp target backs up an entire volume, the Hyperion target backs up one
directory and all subdirs of the same volume.
You do have to have the client loaded and run bp at the console to set
up the targets. In addition, any excludes have to be put into the
target. If you have an include, like the Hyperion directory in my second
target, that directory is the only thing that will get backed up.
Usually you want to exclude the swap file under netware, and possibly
print queue directories. In the target file, the selection lines are
exclude and includes, but I don't really have a good list of what the
numbers stand for.
Experimentation works best, there are too many options in the target
list for me to be sure what works, even after two years with it.
Setting up the targets is the easy part, wait till you have to do a
restore from a backup where you are only backing up part of the volume,
like my hyperion target. That's when it really gets to be fun.

I am attempting to start backing up our Novell servers
here, and was wondering if anyone has any step by step
instructions.
Essentially what I have done with the help of the
netware admin is add in the nlm's from the install cd,
and start those up.
We are trying for Target Version at the moment with /
as the file list and Standard as the Classs Type.
and are getting None of the files in the file list -
status 71.
