I believe if you set REQUIRED_INTERFACE on each system to the backup
interface on that system then NetBackup will always talk back across that
interface, regardless of on which interface the incoming request was
received.

(I think this because we had an issue where we wanted to back up some
machines which were not on the backup LAN, but could not because the
NetBackup Master could not talk to the clients despite the fact that they
could see it over the public LAN.)

I don't know if there are any issues over client names / interface names
which could cause problems which anyone else can comment on.
