Two ways as I see it:

1. Limit the system to one job per client. The streams will have to
serialize because they can't run simultaneously on the client. It should,
therefore, stay on one tape (at least until that tape is full).

2. Create a storage unit with only one drive in it. Assign the class to
that storage unit.

Hi,
Just wanted some advice if possible about streams in Netbackup 3.4 and how
tapes are assigned to jobs!
Last night I created a new Backup Policy which contains 14 Streams.
Originally this Job only contained one stream and all Data was backed up to
a single tape.

Now, because I have created streams, 2 tapes were used. To make matters
worse, the 2nd tape only contains approx 65MB of Data on a 200GB compressed
Tape!

Is there a way I could have told this job to use one tape for this entire
job? Because we are tight on using tapes, I feel this is wasting a good
valuable tape.

Any ideas on how to get around this?

Thanks
