I tried to get our 9740 enclosure to do this several months ago, but
never had any success. Finally resorted to
Opening the mailsot and looking at the tapes myself.

What I do is plug

AUTO_UPDATE_ROBOT

into my vm.conf file. Whenever I plug a tape into the mailslot, the
slot
gets emptied and NetBackup catalogs the media if it hasn't been
before.
Then your media will show up in the library reports.

If you're really motivated, you could use robtest to view the status
of the mailslot.

Take care,
