2nd attempt at sending..
=20
Dave,
=20
Haven't tried this for restores, but I suspect that it will work..
=20
/usr/openv/volmgr/bin/vmoprcmd
=20
This will show you the current drives in use and pending requests,
including, I believe, the pending request for the restore as the tape
is not in the library. Then run:
=20
/usr/openv/volmgr/bin/vmoprcmd -deny <request_number>
=20
This should gracefully kill the restore request.
=20
Hope this helps,
=20
Regards,
=20
max

Subject: [Veritas-bu] how to stop a restore

Netbackup 3.2ga on solaris 8.
=20
I initiate a restore from bpadm user backup restore section and select =
everything i need. When i initiate the restore it asks for tapes which =
are not currently in the jukebox. Fair enough. But how to i now cancel =
this job?
=20
bpps -a shows various restore processes, and i have just killed them =
with kill -9 but don't like doing that at all.=20
=20
Is there not a way of stopping the job like there is in the gui ?
=20
Any help appreciated.
