Hi, all;
   This is probably self-evident, but I'm hoping someone will quietly take
me aside and confirm or deny the following: if I put my tapes into a Scratch
pool instead of into the default "NetBackup" Pool, will it help me avoid
having new tapes written to when there's still space on tapes in the
library?
   I find that very often several tapes in my library will each be used to
hold just one or two backup jobs that were run out of the same class with
the same retention period. If I change my own behavior, putting recycled
tapes into a scratch pool, will NetBackup do a better job of being frugal
with my media? :7)
   Thanks.

P.S. If it's relevant, I run 3.4 GA on Sparc Solaris 2.6, with a
direct-attached Sun L9 tape library [which is actually a single Quantum DLT
8000 drive and space for nine tapes].
