[Veritas-bu] IDR versus Bare metal restore

Not necessarily. There is a BMR piece for Windows, AIX and Solaris. Having
never used IDR I cannot explain the differences however it sounds as though IDR
will only supprt the Windows/NT environment whereas BMR (which was acquired by
Veritas just recently) seems to be heading towards supporting most platforms
available. I know we're looking at it very carefully.

Dennis

Hi,
IDR is meant for Windows whereas BMR is for Unix.
