[Veritas-bu] Veritas 4.5 scipts for Win2000
2002-07-01 15:11:09
I've recently moved out of a Unix environment into a Win2000 data center and
I'm trying to get some reporting structure in place for the Veritas 4.5 server
that was established.
Back in the Unix world, I had a few scripts that would send a message to either
email or pager in the event that a tape drive(s) went off line or important
backups failed. It seems all I had to do for the backup notifications was add
the email addresses in a gui window. Is there any thing for the Win2000
environment that I can place an email address to send out warning messages?
I've looked around and have not been having much luck finding anything and I
have no background in writing scripts outside of the Unix environment. Are
there scripts I can find and run on the Master Win2000 server much like what
was in the Unix server?
Thanks for any input,
Dave
