hello all

If someone could please explain me the difference of performance with 9840 
tape drives using fiber v/s ethernet cable.

reason enquiring this: my master server has fiber connected to drives gives 
max 5 MB/sec transfer rate, also my clients connected via ethernet also 
gives max 4.8Mb/sec

is this ok as per performance running on win NT/2K, or someone could suggest 
for improvement
