Has anyone used the ! option that became available
with Netbackup 3.4 patch 34_1. It is used to exclude
directories, during a bprestore.
For example, if I have a Listfile called /flist that
contains the following two lines,
/abc/def/ghi/jkl
!/abc/def/ghi/jkl/mno
! should cause /abc/def/ghi/jkl/mno to be excluded
from the restore:
/abc is a filesystem
/abc/def is a filesystem
/abc/def/ghi is a directory in the /abc/def filesystem
/abc/def/ghi/jkl is a filesystem
/abc/def/ghi/jkl/mno is a filesystem
I use a rename file called /rfile which contains:
change /abc/def/ghi/jkl to /var/tmp/abc-def-ghi-jkl
When I run:
bprestore -w -c "class" -L /tmp/log -y -R /rfile -f
/flist
The log shows that the /abc/def/ghi/jkl/mno filesystem
is being excluded from the restore, but it is restored
anyway.
