It's an undocumented "feature", ie: a bug. I have to make a copy of my
bidfile before the duplicate. I use the copy for the bpexpdate command that
resets the retention on the duplicate copies.

Hello all,

I bumped into something I cannot explain with my logic.

I run bpduplicate with the following parameters:

/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/bpduplicate -dstunit
vagus-dlt2-robot-tld-1 -v -Bidfile /tmp/bidlist -dp dup -L
/usr/openv/netbackup/my_dup/logs/bpdup.log

The minute bpduplicate starts file /tmp/bidlist is gone.

I found no place in bpduplicate description telling that it removes file
specified with -Bidfile.

Is it a bug or known feature of bpduplicate? If this is a feature, I would
call it dirty, at least.

This is NetBackup DataCenter 3.4.1 on Solaris8, latest patch applied
NB_34_3.

Thank you,
