You're right there is no way of identifying which drive will be available
for restore, but that a drive WILL be available for restore.

Since restores do not specify a storage unit, but queries the available
drives configured in the Device Database.

So, if your STU's number of drives is configured as ((Configured Drives in
Robot #x in Device DataBase)-1), you are guaranteed at least one drive
available for restores.

I don't know how to make sure restores always go to
that one drive, but you can guarantee that there is
always a drive available for restores.  The method
I have seen described here on the list (not actually
used) is to configure the STU with N-1 drives.
As I understand it the restore does not use the
same scheme to assign drives.  Look in the archives
for more details.

b.
I cancel backups manually in this case via the job
monitor for the same reason when restore time is
critical.
