I could not locate man pages for these, but I entered the command with a bogus
option (-Z for instance) and got the Usage message back. Also these are in the
Unix guide for DataCenter (you did not specify BS or DC just 3.4) for Unix.
They are 3 and 6 MB and I did not want to assume your connection could handle
that, they are available for download (with some looking) from: Hope this
helps you..

I use vmquery for (-m vol_ser) to list info about tapes

UNIX

vmquery
Usage: vmquery [-M <master_server>]
           [-h <volume_database_host>,...,-h <volume_database_host>]
           [-b | -w]
           {
           -a |
           -m <media_id> |
           -v <volume_group> |
           -rn <robot_number> |
           -rt <robot_type> |
           -mt <media_type> |
           -p <pool_number> |
           -pn <pool_name> |
           -res <robot_type> <robot_number> <robot_host> <robot_coord1>
                <robot_coord2> |
           -assignbyid <media_id> <media_type> <pool_number> <status>
                       <assigntime> |
           -deassignbyid <media_id> <pool_number> <status>
           }

Check page 459 in the:
VERITAS NetBackup * DataCenter 3.4 System Administrator's Guide UNIX.

I haven't used this one much but I have heard it is not script friendly because
it has two lines of out put to parse through.

bpmedialist
USAGE: bpmedialist [-mlist] [-U|-l|-L] [-ev media_id] [-rl ret_level]
           [-d density] [-p pool_name]
           [-h host_name | -M master_server...] [-v]
       bpmedialist -summary [-U|-L] [-brief] [-p pool_name]
           [-h host_name | -M master_server...] [-v]
       bpmedialist -mcontents -ev media_id [-U|-l|-L] [-d density]
           [-h host_name | -M master_server...] [-v]
bpmedialist -count -rt robot_type -rn robot_number [-d density]
           [-U|-l] [-h host_name | -M master_server...] [-v]

I haven't used this one much either but I know this one has one line per media
and so is more script friendly.

Check page 466 in the:
VERITAS NetBackup * DataCenter 3.4 System Administrator's Guide UNIX.

bpimmedia
USAGE: bpimmedia: [-l | -L] [-client <name>] [-t <sched_type>]
    [-class <name>] [-sl <sched_label] [-d mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss]
    [-e mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss] [-verbose] [-mtype <media type>]
    [-M <master_server,...,master_server>]
    [-mediaid <vsn/path>] [-option <name>]
USAGE: bpimmedia: -spangroups [-mediaid <vsn>] [-U] [-cn <copy number>]
