Hello,
I have a strange problem. Yesterday I performed several manual backups
of different file systems on a Unix server, Bombay. The backups completed
successfully with Status "0". Reports run from the gui (xbpadm) detail the
backups correctly listing the date, time, server and tape media. Everything
looks good about the backups.
The problem is that today, when I tried to restore back to the same server,
I can't get a list of images to choose from. In xbp, I've configured the
media server, the client to browse for restores (bombay), the client to
restore to (same) and the class type "standard". Then, I chose "/" as the
Directory to search, used the default "1970 till now" Date Range, Keyword
phrase is empty, Directory depth is "5" and Filename Filter is *.
when I select "Browse backups (restore), or even Browse backups (true image
restore) I get an "xbp_errmsg" dialogue box complaing it couldn't find any
files matching the above criteria, and no images to choose from.
I thought perhaps something was buggered in the database, so I blew away the
tape from Media Manager and then imported it. The import seemed to be
successful, but I still can't find any images to restore.
If I try to start a restore for other clients, I have no problem getting an
image list. Just can't seem to list any images for Bombay.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Joe
