If it's a Netware volume, it seems like you would have to have the user
be an admin (or admin equivalent) of the netware tree. At least someone
who has full rights to the Netware volume or directory that's being
backed up. This is really only necessary for the network backups and
restores. Backing up and restoring from the local drives can run as the
system, but then wouldn't have rights to the network data.

Make sure that the NBU client service is running as Domain admin, or a
user
that has admin rights over that volume, sometime admin of that
particular
win2k box does the trick

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Backup Novell volume

Hi All,

I have been asked to backup a Novell Volume that is mounted on a
Windows2000 server as a network drive. I get the following message in
the bpbrm logs.

WIN32 1317: The specified user does not exists.

and the backup fails with status code 1.

does anyone have a clue?

Thanks for your help.
