Do you have multiple media servers?
Try running the command from the other media server.

Hi everyone! 
I hate to bother you all, but I am at my wits end :-(

I have a tape, which I am thinking may be faulty. This is why
I ran a Report on Media Lists and noticed 6 tapes in a frozen status.
I have successfully unfrozen 5 of the 6 tapes, except Tape ID 0002L is
STILL
in a Frozen Status.

I issue the following command from Windows NT Server:
BPMEDIA -unfreeze -ev 0002L1 <press return>. I then get the following
error:
Requested media ID was not found in the NB media Database and/or MM
volume
Database.

I have gone into Media & Device Manager, and found this tape in the
SCRATCH
POOL. So I ejected the tape from my
ADIC Scalar 100 Robot and reinserted the tape back into the robot and
performed a new inventory update.

I try the same BPMEDIA command and the same error message is displayed!
I am
wondering if it is trying to tell me that the tape is in fact damaged or
cannot be written to!

Could anyone assist please?
