[Veritas-bu] Storagetek L40

Most likely cause is that one of the tape labels is slid slightly out of its
position and the robot can't read it. It could be that some piece of
hardware was installed incorrectly and is blocking its movement. Check drive
cables also. But almost everything would cause it to either fail immeditely
on startup or not fail at all. The only thing that generally causes a
failure after auditing the tapes and before auditing drives, is an
unreadable label.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Storagetek L40
Our Storagetek L40 is having a problem. Everytime I
close the door, it goes through it's audit cycle. When
it is just about done, the point where it moves the
Hand Assembly toward the tape drives, it fails with a
3088 error. Is there any calibration that needs to be
done on the unit?
Has anyone experienced this?
