What version of NBU are you running?  If you're at 3.2 you're out of luck
(i.e., you'll have to open up ports 512-5000 and 13701-13783) but if you're
at 3.4 there are methods to at least limit the port ranges.

Has anyone tried to backing up thru the firewall? I have my Master server
behind the firewall. And My media servers and clients outside. And I noticed
that the VMD process keeps trying to connect at ports that above 32XXX.

And the Master Server is on Solaris 8. Any Ideas?
