Hi,

A couple of months ago wee needed to change the barcode numbers on some of =

our offsite media. So we changed the bar codes numbers starting with M to=20
starting with 11.

Now when i try to import an offsite tape into veritas i got the following=20
error:

Import phase 1 started Tue 22 Jan 2002 12:48:56 PM CST
12:48:57 INF - Create DB information for media id 110007.
12:48:58 INF - Initiation of bptm process to read media id 110007 was=20
successful.
12:48:59 INF - Waiting for mount of media id 110007 on server=20
Veritas-Server.
12:50:18 Media mounted has media id of M00008, but 110007 was requested.=20
Must add M00008 to Media Manager volume database and retry.
12:50:19 INF - Status =3D cannot perform specified media import operation.

So i set the barcode back to it's original value(M00008). So i guess my=20
question is the following: Can i change the barcode once i have sent the=20
tape offiste? If i can, how do i avoid the message above?
