NBU 3.4.1, Solaris 8, SpectraLogic Gator 64000 AIT2 library, 6 drives, 285
tapes capacity.

We've filled up all of our current tapes in one pool, so I swapped out 30
and put fresh tapes in. This particular pool never expires -- it's stuff
we need to keep forever.

So, Joe User runs the little restore script I provided to kick off a
restore of a particular file. The job starts, and the log file says:

13:30:04 (2064.001) INF - Waiting for mount of media id 000001 on server
13:30:05 (2064.001) INF - Media id 000001 is not in a robotic library;
administrative interaction may be required to satisfy a mount request.

Makes perfect sense -- I just swapped out that media ID. The script
notifies me that he needs ID 000001, so I head into the server room and
insert that tape via the E/E port (mailslot). I then run vmchange,
setting the location of that tape to slot 1 of the library (that's where I
put it).

Great, except the restore never detects that the tape is now in the
library, and it never kicks off, and after 60 minutes (as per my
configuration), the mount times out and the restore fails.

So, once I've inserted the tape into the library, and I've told Media
Manager that the tape is in the library, what do I have to do to get the
restore job to realize it's got the tape available now?

Many thanks,
-Adam
