Depends on what you are backing up.

Is the data you are backing up 'highly compressable' data?  Or are they
MPEG, JPG, etc.?

Unfortunately it isn't a guarantee that you will get 24GB, but a rule of
thumb.

I use 4mm , 12GB/24GB(compressed) tapes. Netbackup always says FULL while
they are apprx. 15 Gigs. The max. it got was to 17 Gig. It never goes to
full capacity of the tape(24 Gig).

Any clue why?
