I found the answer...I hadn't brought up my media server that had done
the backup, and NBU was trying to connect to that media server.

The following document describes what to do in that case.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Host is Unreachable during a restore

Hi All...

I am doing some testing in our lab for DR. I have a W2K Master (NBDC
3.41 with NB34_1_2 patch) restoring to a W2K server via a cross-over
cable. All communications appear to be ok as the client is able to
browse the catalog in the restore window. I have restored other servers
this way to great success.

However, a few restores fail due to a status 5 and it states that the
host is unreachable. I verified and re-verified my settings. I've
triple checked my host file. I am at a lost. Does anybody out there
have any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

Scott
