If he really, really wants to save $$, he can shut down his Exchange
Services every night and copy over the raw *.EDB files. But, that's a
secret (Ssshh!) budgeting trick used by IT people when the big brass refuses
to hand over the money for a simple backup agent. ;^)

You absolutely, positively must have the agent

I was wondering if someone knows the answer to this. I
will have DataCenter 3.4 running on SUN servers and there
is talk of bringing on an Exchange server. Can I back that
server up as a regular Windows server or do I need a
Microsoft Exchange Server agent ? Just doing some cost
analysis here for a future project.

Thanks,

Tim
