I have used the previous posts on drive throughput to produce a set of
reports to indicate our daily performance (so thanks to everyone for the
extremely useful posts). 

One report used the bptm log to obtain the throughput, the other summarises
the throughput from the appropriate netbackup/db/jobs file. There is a
difference in the figures, however, in that bptm reports the throughput for
a job as :-
14:38:01 [15974] <4> write_backup: successfully wrote backup id
backup01_1005766212, copy 1, fragment 1, 1181472 Kbytes at 7109.506
Kbytes/sec

whereas the average throughput in the job file is 6203.22 Kb/Sec.

Would I be correct in saying that bptm is reporting the uncompressed
throughput, whereas the figures in the job file refer to the actual
(compressed) throughput to the drive ?

Can anyone confirm (or correct) these assumptions.
