Hello,
I bumped into some strange problem. I need to backup files 5G in size from
a Linux client running on a RedHat 7.1 (kernel 2.4.2) system. File system is
ext2 and I have no problem manipulating the files from command line (e.g. copy
or cat)
The error message I see is like :
11/13/2001 18:10:11 vagus temporalis from client
temporalis: ERR - Cannot lstat
/export/backup/exp/dw01/dw01_01110723.dmp.Z. Errno = 75:
Value too large for defined data type
The file in question is:
bash-2.04$ ls -l /export/backup/exp/dw01/dw01_01110723.dmp.Z
-rw-r--r-- 1 101 dba 5511526149 Nov 8 06:37
/export/backup/exp/dw01/dw01_01110723.dmp.Z
I have no problems backing up files of the same size from Solaris8 clients.
Is it a known limitation of NBU Linux client?
I'm using NetBackup-RedHat 3.4patchNB_34_P0858,
according to /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/version
Thanks,
