You were misinformed.

You can and always could write the NBU DB backups to a disk file system (not
a disk storage unit).

So they were accurate in saying you can't write it to a disk storage unit.
They should have followed that up with a YES to a file system location.

Is it just me or did I get some bad info?  I was told by a Veritas
employee that 3.4 did *not* support backing up the db to a disk storage
unit, yet when I look at the db backup configuration screen I have a
drop-down for disk and a path field.

Am I missing something here?  Anyone backing their db to disk?
