On the master there are usually 2 files
/usr/openv/netbackup/version 
and
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/version
 
The first is just the default installation (3.4GA etc) and the second is the
one that tells you what patch level you are at.

How can you tell which patches have been applied to the servers or clients?
I have looked at the version file, but that didn't appear to show patch
information.  The same thing was seen when looking at the gui with "help on
version."
