Hi,
I'm having a devil of a time doing an alternate path restore.
I'm running NetBackup 3.2 ga on a Solaris 7 box and restoring to Windows
2000 client. I've restored to Unix and Windows NT clients with no problem
before, but I must admit I've never tried an alternate client + alternate
path restore. Backup was done on an NT 4 file server, H: drive and restore
is to a Windows 2000 file server, G: drive. Every time I run the restore I
get a huge list of files scrolling across the progress screen, each one
marked "was not restored". I enabled logging on the client, and in the TAR
log I found the following entry:

27/09/01 2:59:58 PM: [348]: Unable to open requested file:
usr:\openv\netbackup\.rename.26821 (WIN32 22: The device does not recognize
the command. )
27/09/01 2:59:58 PM: [348]: INF - changed name of file:
/usr/openv/netbackup/.rename.26821 to file:
C:\VERITAS\NetBackup\logs\ALTPATH\ALTPATH.013

I'm pretty sure it's my syntax for the xbp_altpath dialoque. Can someone
give me some tips please??

Thanks!
Joe
