Do you have any media servers? If any backups were done through the media
server then the media used in those backups will be directly associated with
that media server. You will then need to go to that media server and run the
command you ran before. If not, then you can use the -deassignbyid flag in
vmquery

  Hi All,

I've done some searching on this one and haven't found an answer yet. I
run the command:

  bpexpdate -d 0 -ev XYZ123

  I get the error message:

requested media id was not found in NB media database and/or MM volume
database

My search appears to indicate using the vmquery command to feed the media
a false date but everytime I try that I get a usage error. Is that the
right command to be using? Here is the syntax:

vmquery -assignbyid mediaid mediatype pool_number status assigntime

which I fill in with the following:

  vmquery -assignbyid XYZ123 TLD 5 0 1234567890

If there is a syntactic error please let me know. This is just getting
too silly!

  Thanks,

  Bob
