bpmedialist only queries the mediaDB on the Media
Server. The mediaDB contains information about the
Media that the Media Server has written to, that's it.
The database you want to query to see if you have
tapes in the pools is the volume database.

vmquery -a -bx | more

from your master (or the volume database host) will
show you what you want.

Alternatively and perhaps a more appropriate way of
viewing this is via the GUI, Media/Device Mgmt.
