No, shutting down those daemons will have not affect whatsoever on what your
filer is doing.

as a matter of fact, you don't need the daemons running to use robtest.

I think you're in the clear.

I have a snapmirror restoring from a drive that is direct attach via
fiber to a NetApp filer.  I am not using any of the Veritas software for
this action: all I did was use robtest to load the tapes into the drive
and everything else is done from the filer.

If I shut down the media manager daemons while this is in progress will
it interefer?
